Abstract
In this paper, a solution for the modeling, numerical simulation and control of the distributed parameter process of heating the asphaltic emulsion from an industrial tank is presented. Due to the fact that the model of the technological process is expressed using a partial differential equation, the numerical simulation of the emulsion temperature evolution is made using the (Mpdx) (matrix of the partial derivatives of the state vector) method, associated with Taylor series. Also, a solution of including the treated heating process in a control structure is proposed. The simulation of the automatic system of temperature control is made using the same simulation method previously mentioned, respectively considering the case of the usage of the PID type controllers. In order to prove the performances of the numerical simulation method, some 3D graphical representations are included, too.
