Abstract
This paper deals with control design and visualization of air levitation model. It gives a general overview of possibilities for real-time control (both soft and hard real-time approaches) and visualization of laboratory educational models by means of Matlab&Simulink environment and additional toolboxes. The following three basic products are briefly presented, including their pros and cons: Real Time Toolbox, Real Time Windows Target and xPC Target. From the point of view of block schemes in Simulink, they stay almost the same, except for the I/O blocks and mode of the simulation. Also there are different options for visualization of real processes on physical model. On the base of mathematical model set in due to identification of real plant, the designs of fuzzy and LQG controllers are given. Paper also gives an overview over control circuits in Simulink and brings chosen graphical outputs from controlled plant for particular controllers.
