Abstract This article presents the performance comparison of web services between Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 and .NET Framework 2.0 Release Candidate. Additionally in this paper the key .NET threading attributes are introduced which are used for improving performance. This article also presents several ways to improve the performance of web services using .NET frameworks. Certainly the solution presented here is not the only possible choice to get more out of your system. The article also contains our measurements for comparing the throughput of systems using various levels of web security.
