Abstract
In this paper a personal implementation of the algorithm based on 2-D strings used in the content-based query on more regions, having in view the color feature and the relative spatial arrangement of the color regions in the image it is presented. For detecting the color regions, it is used an implementation of the color set back-projection algorithm. The efficiency of the algorithm that uses 2-D strings was tested by means of a number of experiments effectuated on two imagistic collections: synthetic images and images from nature.
