Abstract
Web Dynpro ABAP and Web Dynpro Java are two SAP Frameworks that use the Model View Controller (MVC) concept to develop web business applications. Both Frameworks have a number of so-called “Hook Methods” that are automatically generated and make the interface between the Framework and the application we are developing. These methods have a special importance and can help us to develop the applications. In this paper we bring in, through examples, the main Hook Methods presented in Web Dynpro ABAP and some of the Hook Methods presented in Web Dynpro Java, accentuating the importance of their usage.
