Modeling Resource Allocations Techniques for GPRS/EGPRS Networks

Abstract
This article presents an overview of the research efforts concerning resource allocation techniques in data transfer over mobile networks, placing our work in the context of the domain. We put an emphasis on the modeling and simulation techniques used for GPRS and EGPRS networks and we present our simulation model, which maintains a balance between simplicity and the capability to describe and simulate many different aspects concerning performance issues in (E)GPRS networks.
