Abstract
For the purposes of process control in copper production plants of Mining and Smelting Company - RTB Bor, a special system was developed. The core of that system is Microprocessor Measuring Station – MMS. It is a type of programmable logic controller, with main characteristics of real time units and monitoring and command functions. Hardware and software, as well are fully developed and designed in Mining and Metallurgy Institute Bor. The paper presents a structure of executive and control program with respect to synchronization of the two most important events: measuring and communication. The results of practical implementation are also included.
