A Simulation Architecture for Real-Time Control Applications

Abstract
In this paper, a processor-in-the-loop simulation architecture was developed to test the operation of the geothermal plant from the University of Oradea. This simulation was built on two Intel Pentium personal computers, ACSL (Advanced Continuous Simulation Language) simulation language and InTouch WindowsViewer software for user interface development. The main goal was to test the functionality and the capability to run the simulated application within the required deadlines. According to the simulation results, a conclusion regarding the further implemented control system architecture was formulated.
